Professor Keith Mathieson
My research is focussed on the development of devices to interface with neural systems. These are microfabriated, optoelectronic, implantable devices to record and activate neural activity within the brain. I hold a 10-year award from the Royal Academy of Engineering as part of their Chair in Emerging Technologies scheme, with a focus on neurotechnology.鈥�
Professor Shuzo Sakata
My team studies brain states in health and disease at the circuit level, interrogating the brain-wide organization of neural and non-neural ensembles across sleep-wake cycles. We investigate disrupted brain states in Alzheimer’s disease, exploring the potential of neuromodulation for treatment with neurotechnology.

My lab, NeuraSearch, leads the frontier in uniting human intelligence and information systems through innovative Brain-Machine Interfaces (BMIs), advanced AI, and neurotech-driven methods. We aim to facilitate information access and retrieval, pushing the boundaries of AI-powered neurotechnology.
