Coming to 吃瓜tv

If you're a student currently registered on an undergraduate degree elsewhere in the world then you're able to spend a year (or a semester) of your studies as a visiting student at the 吃瓜tv.

You can apply through organised student exchange programmes, which 吃瓜tv runs in collaboration with more than 250 universities and colleges around the world. Another option is applying directly to 吃瓜tv on an independent basis, or through a study abroad provider.

Go Global Photo Competition Winners 2024

  • Oran Murray (Full Year Exchange at the Institut Polytechnique de Grenoble, France) - Aurora Borealis in the Vercors mountain range. I was very fortunate to be in the mountains on the 10th May 2024, to witness the strongest solar flares to affect earth since 1989. This made the 'northern lights' visible at latitudes much further south than is typical.

  • Gabriela Carbonell (Full Year Exchange at the University of Toronto, Canada) - Hiking in Banff: A time that was beyond my imagination was visiting Banff in Alberta, Canada. The scenery was beautiful and had even had encounters with cute bears!

  • Archie Willis (Full Year Placement in Valencia, Spain) - Valencia's Fallas festival: A parade weaves around a towering statue of the Virgin Mary, made up of individual flowers, outside Valencia Cathedral during Valencia's Las Fallas festival.

  • Jack Norman (Semester Exchange at MCI Management Center, Innsbruck, Austria) - Luging: The sport of luge is incredibly popular in Austria. Top athletes can pilot their sleds at speeds of up to 80mph on an icy track. This photo is from the Austrian National Championships which I attended as part of my Masters project working on luge aerodynamics. It was great to learn about a unusual and spectacular sport which is rarely seen in the UK.

  • Chloe Ballantyne (Semester Exchange at University of Otago, New Zealand) - Ethereal. Milford Sound, New Zealand. A Fiordland that rains 200+ days out of the year and I caught it on a beautiful sunny day. Truly the most stunning, vast scenes I鈥檝e ever seen.

  • Julia Szczudlinska (Semester Exchange at Hong Kong Polytechnic University) - This photo was taken at Gyeongbokgung Palace in Seoul, where my friend and I got the opportunity to wear traditional Korean Hanboks. It was such an amazing experience and a great way to commemorate our trip to Seoul.
