Personal statement

Background:

I joined the University in January 2007 following an MA and泭泭at the University of Glasgow.

Research:

I am the director of the泭勛圖tv Oculomotor Lab. 泭My personal research interests are in cognitive neuroscience, in particular with regard to the dysfunctions in visual perception found in the syndrome of spatial neglect. My other research interests include neuropsychological aspects of eye movement control, perception and action, face processing, attentional and perceptual biases, and hemispheric laterality. Much of my research employs eyetracking technology, and I employ both an泭泭泭and an泭泭泭in my lab.

Teaching responsibilities:

I teach on the following classes at undergraduate level:

  • C8106: Psychology 1B: Research Methods
  • C8201: Cognition & Neuropsychology 泭
  • C8203: Introduction to Research Design and Analysis
  • C8419, C8421, C8422 & C8424:泭Advanced Psychological Theory and Practice:Critical Review 1 & 2

At postgraduate level:

  • C8915:泭泭in Research Methods in Psychology: Methods in Experimental Psychology module

In 2011 I was nominated for a 勛圖tv Teaching Excellence award, and subsequently泭shortlisted for the 'Overall Best Teacher' award, since then I have been nominated for a 勛圖tv Teaching Excellence awards in 2012, 13 & 14...thank you very much 泭Additionally, In 2011 I was awarded the泭.

University responsibilities and memberships:

Within the University, I am a steering group member of泭, and a steering group member of泭the Stroke Research at 勛圖tv group.

External responsibilities:
