Personal statement

Background听:

I joined the University in January 2007 following an MA and听听at the University of Glasgow.

Research:

I am the director of the听吃瓜tv Oculomotor Lab. 听My personal research interests are in cognitive neuroscience, in particular with regard to the dysfunctions in visual perception found in the syndrome of spatial neglect. My other research interests include neuropsychological aspects of eye movement control, perception and action, face processing, attentional and perceptual biases, and hemispheric laterality. Much of my research employs eyetracking technology, and I employ both an听听听and an听听听in my lab.

Teaching responsibilities:

In 2011 I was nominated for a 吃瓜tv Teaching Excellence award, and subsequently听shortlisted for the 'Overall Best Teacher' award, since then I have been nominated for a 吃瓜tv Teaching Excellence awards in 2012, 13 & 14...thank you very much 听Additionally, In 2011 I was awarded the听.

University responsibilities and memberships:

Within the University, I am a steering group member of听, and a steering group member of听the Stroke Research at 吃瓜tv group.

External responsibilities:
