Personal statement

I am a research student in the聽Advanced Nuclear Research Centre聽in the department of聽Electronic and Electrical Engineering聽. I also work closely with the department of聽Computer and Infomation Sciences. I am interested in the design of safe, explainable artificial intelligence systems and their applications to industry, as well as leveraging a human in the loop to increase performance of AI systems. I am specifically interested in the problem of digitising engineering drawings to provide speedy and intelligent data access to decades old equipment, which is the focus of my PhD.

I received my MEng from the 吃瓜tv in Computer and Electronic Systems in 2019, with distinction. During my undergradate studies I dabbled in automatic quantum circuit reduction strategies as part of my聽honours project, as well as in robotic systems on my聽masters project, and as part of the聽RoVER VIP.
