Personal statement
Vernon Phoenix is Professor of Environmental Engineering Science.聽 His research sits at the interface between environmental engineering, biotechnology and geochemistry, covering topics such as green infrastructure, bio-inspired solutions, climate resilience and pollution control.聽 This includes, for example, improving sustainable technologies for water and stormwater management; application of biomaterials for civil engineering; waste valorization; bioeconomy and assessment of microplastics in air, water and soil. Always open to new ideas and opportunities to work together.聽 He has undertaken a number of leadership positions, including Head of Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering, 吃瓜tv, from 2020-2024.
