Personal statement

I am a PhD candidate at the ³Ô¹Ïtv within the Civil and Environmental Engineering department. My research is focused on the development of a low-cost electrochemical biosensor for the detection and real-time monitoring of antibiotic residues in milk. I am particularly interested in finding ways to reduce the disposal of contaminated milk and thus limit the spread of antimicrobial resistance in the environment. I am working closely with a partner from dairy industry to ensure the usability and practicality of such a device in the farm field.

My research is supervised by (³Ô¹Ïtv), (³Ô¹Ïtv) and  (the University of the West of Scotland).
