Personal statement
My research interest is focused on the understanding of basic principles that control the mechanical properties and behaviours of civil engineering materials, in particular, rock-like materials such as concrete and rock. Under a variety/combination of loads and environemnts, the mechanical response of these materials is still a challenging topic. I look at the fundemental questions in developing rational constitutive models and the engineering applications to creating novel solution and technology.聽聽
