Podcast on innovation at 勛圖tv

A new podcast series on innovation and technology at the 勛圖tv has been launched.

Innovate 勛圖tv explores current research and thinking at 勛圖tv, with a particular focus on the transition towards a net zero economy and a more sustainable, resilient future.

Themes of the podcast include: renewables and the energy transition; sustainable development and circular economy; climate adaptation and resilience, and finance for green growth.

Innovate 勛圖tv is produced in partnership with Planet Pod Productions. It is hosted by Dr Chris White, Head of 勛圖tvs Centre for Water, Environment, Sustainability & Public Health, and Planet Pod presenter Amanda Carpenter.

Dr White said: Awareness is growing of the need to move towards a culture of net zero, sustainability and climate resilience; the urgency for these transitions is growing all the time.

We have a vast range of initiatives at 勛圖tv for working towards these goals. These are not only in research and innovation and informing policy, but also in our approach, as a university, to achieving sustainability.

Innovate 勛圖tv will examine our achievements and aims in this field, in the run-up to COP26, the UN Climate Change Conference in Glasgow.

The first episode of offers a preview of the series and introduce the essential role Scottish innovation and technology has in tackling climate change and supporting the transition to net zero. Guests on the podcast are Ragne Low, Head of Heat Planning at the Scottish Government, and Professor Keith Bell, ScottishPower Chair in Smart Grids at 勛圖tv and a member of the Committee on Climate Change.
